Word of the Week 31/10/14

Thank you so much for continuing to share and to link up – I love to find out about everyone’s weeks in this way, love it!

If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. I comment on and tweet out every post, and it’s a friendly place, so come join in! All that I ask is that if you link up, you link back to me, and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and comment on their words, please.

My word of the week this week is:

siblings wotw

It’s been half term this week, my girl’s first break from school since she started in Reception a few weeks ago. I have adored having both children at home with me, but more importantly, they’ve loved being with each other. It’s been a week of make-believe campsites, Lego-building afternoons, fun play dates, a theatre outing, baking and catching up with family and friends. And through it all, they’ve remained the very best of friends, the little siblings…

  1. So glad you have had a lovely half-term and that Boo and Little Man have enjoyed having whole days together all week. Sounds like it’s been a busy and fun-filled one too 🙂

  2. That’s gorgeous, lovely word for what sounds like a really lovely week. Glad you’ve had so much fun together, and that they have had so much fun. That’s just a fantastic shot, makes me very excited for when Little Miss grows up 🙂 xx

    1. Yes, my brother and I did, too – it’s funny how all kids seems to recreate these fun, imaginative games 🙂 x

  3. When it comes to young siblings – absence DEFINITELY makes the heart grow fonder!
I’m loving watching the kids frolicking around this half-term too…
Loving less the intensity of the disagreements though …6 year old and a 4 year old …God help us! 😉

  5. Hi Jocelyn, sorry I am linking up so late. I can’t believe it is half term already in the UK, it seems like yesterday that I was reading about Boo starting school! So scarey!

It’s nice for the children to get the chance to spend some time together again and even better that they are getting on well…I love the picture – children outside having fun!

  6. Lovely photo! I have two girls same age as your kids (based on a read of your about page) and I love how well they play together. Its a lovely age and I hope very much they stay close as they grow older 🙂

Great idea for a link up!

    1. Thank you! Oh, yes I so hope so, too, though I’m sure they’ll go through times of disliking each other at points! Why I make the most of it now! Thanks very much, do feel free to join in any time you fancy it, it opens every Friday until Sunday night 🙂
