Word of the Week 13/10/17

Hello and welcome to Word of the Week!

If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. It’s a fun and friendly linky, so please do be lovely and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and share with them your thoughts on their words and weeks. I do comment on every entry to the linky, and if you add the Word of the Week badge to your post to help spread the ‘word’, I also tweet them out.

My word of the week this week is:

A week full of Disney!

As you may know, we are going to Disney World next May, and this week we’ve been immersing ourselves in the planning and getting excited about our trip. We have watched lots of YouTube vidoes on Disney World and the kids have told me all of the rides that they absolutely, really, really want to go on! It’s enabled me to start making plans, around extra magic hours, shows they want to see, restaurants the Husband wants to try and allowing for the fact that we might need some downtime to actually rest at points! An itinerary is now beginning to formulate, and yes, I do need to do this if we’re to get the fast passes for the rides that they’re desperate to go on. It would be nice to rock up and take it day by day but it just doesn’t work like that unless we are happy to queue for an hour or two for the more popular rides, and no, I don’t want to do that! There’s fun in the planning, it is great to build the anticipation spending time chatting about it all together.

With Star Wars now being Disney, that ties in this week as the trailer for the new film came out. The Husband and Little Man were so excited and Boo and I now want a porg! We will all go to see this at some point over Christmas, we all enjoy Star Wars.

For Boo’s birthday we got her a play-set for her Disney Tsum Tsums which has served to remind her of their existence! As such, they have been played with daily and we’ve had a different Tsum Tsum accompanying us on the school run each day. She also received the Beauty and the Beast DVD so we have watched that again this week. I do love it, so magical.

Then when catching up with my sister-in-law yesterday we spent most of our time chatting Disney. She’s off to Disneyland Paris next year, so we watched ride vlogs and got excited about our plans!

To top it all off, we’re all looking forward to going to see Disney On Ice next week in Birmingham. It’s their Passport to Adventure show and we get to see favourites such as The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, and Frozen – we cannot wait!! I will of course share all about it next week.

What about you? What one word sums up your week best?

Please grab the badge, link up and share…

  1. I’m so excited for you all, you will have such an amazing time. I used the Disney forums to help make a plan they were really useful. There’s so much to pack in that you definitely need a plan. Have a lovely weekend x

  2. I love planning exciting things and you don’t get more exciting than Disney!! Enjoy Disney on ice. I haven’t been for a while but the show is always brilliant x

  4. Planning certainly makes sense. You really are going for it. I can imagine that it does stretch out the fun too. Wonderful that you have others to share the excitement with, and the show to go to as well. Your house must be bubbling with excitement.

  5. Can’t beat a bit of Disney and your week has certainly been full of it. How lovely to be planning your trip to Disney World and I love the sound of the Tsum Tsums playset. Hope you have a wonderful time at Disney on Ice. Thanks for hosting #WotW 🙂

  6. Ah it is all so exciting and definitely in the planning, I love Disney and for me the planning was as good, my advice would be to give yourself a bit of downtime every day, do some days early and some late that way you are all fresh because as amazing as it is it is also exhausting. But you will all have the best time x

    1. Great advice, thank you. I am trying to ensure I allow for the reality of being exhausted in amongst all of the other considerations! Thanks x
