Word of the Week 26/2/16

Hello and welcome to Word of the Week!

If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. It’s a fun and friendly linky, so please do be lovely and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and share with them your thoughts on their words and weeks. I do comment on every entry to the linky, and if you add the Word of the Week badge to your post to help spread the ‘word’, I also tweet them out.

My word of the week this week is:

opportunities

It’s been one of those weeks this week, blogging-wise, when we’ve had several lovely opportunities come in. It hasn’t happened for a while, as things had a gone a little quiet since Christmas, so it’s been nice to have a few surprise emails come through offering us a fun show, days out and a good mix of review, competitions and sponsored pieces. It’s more than enough to keep me busy anyway and the kids are excited about the treats that will soon be coming their way!

Then the best ‘opportunity’ that’s come my way this week is the one for time. Time with my husband. Uninterrupted, leisurely, quality time. It’s our wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks and the Husband always books the day off for it. We were particularly happy as this year it happens to fall upon a day that Little Man will be at nursery so we will have a full six hours to ourselves! The Husband was then told that he’d be unable to have that day off as his work’s annual sales conference was taking place, but hooray, it has now been moved to later that week so we are back on! We will have the opportunity to be just the two of us for a few hours, and we are really looking forward to it.

What about you? What one word sums up your week best?

Please grab the badge, link up and share.

  1. It’s funny how blog opportunities come in fits and starts sometimes isn’t it? Quite nice that way too though. Hope you and your husband have a wonderful time together on your anniversary, 6 hours together sounds so lovely! We have our spa weekend together next week and I just can’t wait to have some time the two of us. Much as we love our kiddies we know it will do us good! Xx

  2. Congratulations on the new opportunities coming your way! 🙂 Also Advance Happy Anniversary to you and your husband 😉 I’m glad you guys find the time to be together without the kids, ever since T has been in school, we’ve also snatched a few hours even if it’s just a lunch-out and then back home again. It’s all about making time isn’t it? Our week has been full of sunshine 🙂 #wotw
