Things I’m Most Looking Forward To On Our Disney World Holiday

If you’re a regular reader here you may remember when I shared that we’d booked to go to Disney World next year. To me, that feels like just a few weeks ago, but it was actually six months ago now which means we have only six months now before we go. Only six months! Given how quickly that time has flown by, I know we’ll be boarding that plane before we know it!

A big part of this holiday is the anticipation and planning. We have spent so many hours chatting all things Disney, watching ride videos with the kids, checking out restaurant reviews, playing around with itineraries and we watch everything on Tim Tracker’s channel. It’s all part of the fun!

Here are a few of the things that I am most looking forward to when we go….

Walking down Main Street. The magical Magic Kingdom. I want to be there, but more importantly, I want to see the children’s faces when we arrive there. This will be our first visit to a Disney park on our trip.

Playing in the water parks. I know that these will be fun days out away from the parks and a chance to play around with the kids. Boo’s swimming gets stronger every week and Little Man is coming on leaps and bounds and adores being in the water so these should be fun days to cool off in the heat.

The Rides. Specifically, Peter Pan’s Flight, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Kiliminjaro Safari, Pirates of the Caribbean, Na’vi River Journey and any ride that I can get soaked on! Now, I do suffer from motion sickness so the rides won’t all be fun for me, and I cannot go near any motion simulators as they’re horrendous, but I will manage and I will love it!

The Food. The Husband has seen a t-shirt saying ‘I’m here for the food’ and I wouldn’t be surprised if he got it as he has spent a lot of time watching snack vlogs! We’ve booked lunch at Be Our Guest, eating in the Beast’s castle, so that should be fun. As part of my planning process I have been noting down the places that the Husband wants to try and any specific meals and snacks he’s keen on. And I admit, I am very keen to get my hands on a dole whip.

My Magic Band. Yes, I am a kid at heart. They just look cute and fun and so handy rather than carrying around money, keys and fast passes. Very clever, and yes I have already personalised them all.

Exploring our resort. We’re staying on site, at the Caribbean Beach and I am really looking forward to roaming around and discovering this sprawling tropical resort.

Character Meets. The kids are also excited about this part, and I am really looking forward to seeing their faces when they meet and chat to their favourite characters. I have bought them autograph books as a little Christmas stocking filler so they’ll be all set.

The World Showcase at Epcot. I love this part of Disney World, wandering from country to country. Boo’s keen to go on Frozen Ever After in Norway and meet Belle in France and Mulan in China, and I want a cake from Norway!

Watching Fireworks. Any show will be wonderful. If they have the Star Wars  show on then that would be amazing, but then Happily Ever After and IllumiNations will be utterly fabulous, too. I think we can see IllumiNations from our resort, so I like the idea of a little late night swimming, watching fireworks from the pool. Magical.

We will also go to Universal Studios for two or three days whilst we are there.  I am so looking forward to the Jurassic Park ride at Islands of Adventure. I’ve been on it before, many years ago, and I just want to be on it again as it does bring back happy memories. Walking down Diagon Alley and then boarding the Hogwarts Express will be pretty special for us all and my boy adores Dr Seuss books and films so I want to see his little face when we get to Seuss Landing.

And most of all? Introducing the kids to this magical world. The Husband and I loved our time there, so I just know that to be there with our children and see them taking it all in and having fun will make it utterly brilliant. I cannot wait!

What would you look forward to the most?

    1. There’s so much to see! I’m trying to keep it small and realistic, as there’s no way we’re cramming everything in!
