The Theme Game is all change from April! Yes, Redpeffer and I have decided to make it a weekly linky, so as to welcome everyone who perhaps couldn’t join in more than once in a while. And we want it to be a chance for you to do one of two things:
– be inspired by the theme so that it spurs you into writing a post about something you really fancy sharing
or
– have a scroll back through your archives and give an old post a fresh airing – sometimes they don’t get the attention they deserve first time round, or they may have been really well-received, but some of us missed it, so we want to see it now!
Either way, whether your post be old or new, we’d love to have you. As always, there will be a new theme each week, and the linky opens every Tuesday morning at 6.30am, here and at Redpeffer, and closes Friday night. Iona and I will then choose a weekly winner, and we will then share that post over the next few days so that the whole world (well, I may be exaggerating a little there…!) gets to read your winning entry.
What do you think? Better? We think so. And we’re excited by the first theme, starting Tuesday April 1st, of ‘Family’. So, go, forage around your archives, or get typing away, whichever suits you, and pop back here and link up any time from Tuesday. Look forward to reading 🙂

Love this idea Jocelyn! I’ve been meaning to join in for weeks, but have been a bit linky overwhelmed 🙂 Meaning I can link up an appropriate older post will ease the pressure, and I’ll really enjoy reading the rest of the posts too! See you Tuesday! Xx
Yes, linkys can do that to you! Hopefully this gives us more flexibility and it’s nice to give old favourites another airing, as well as using themes to write afresh. Look forward to reading and it’ll be lovely to have you join in 🙂
Great changes, and good move for letting us know in advance! Fab theme to start with. I have written so few posts so far there is not much in my archives, but if it is OK with you, maybe I will link up the story of Jumpy’s eczema which in a way is about family as it deals with the guilt you feel as parents when your little ones are not well. Let me know. x Mel

Yes, absolutely fine, Mel. It’s very close to the heart of your family, I know x
This may help when I am in one of my frequent ‘drowning’ moments!!

Ha ha! We wanted to make it lots easier to get involved with, and as well as inspiring posts, we can share some of our favourites again 🙂
My only problem will be choosing which post – I don’t think I write about much other than my family!

Well yes, there could be that problem!! Look forward to seeing what you come up with x
