A Spring Scoot

We had a morning with absolutely nothing on our agenda, so as the sun was shining, we decided to get outside.

Boo hasn’t been on her scooter for ages. No reason, we just sort of forgot about it, so when remembered, we had to get it out! With Little Man happily in his pushchair and Boo eager to scoot, we were off…

We made the jaunt all about Spring and nature. I pointed out flowers, buds and trees to the children, and soon Boo was doing the same and delighting in spotting things.

Moss, in particular, enthralled her, and she loved it’s springy touch…

We saw so many flowers blooming, the sun was shining, and it just felt good.

We were only out for half an hour, but it was great to get a breath of fresh air, and a little exercise. We’ll definitely be getting that scooter out more regularly from now on.

Have you been enjoying the sunshine?

  1. Lovely spring time walk for you all. Our J is same age as your boo, it’s lovely to see their excitement as they find and discover things they may have forgotten from last spring.

  2. Done times it’s really lovely to enjoy your local surroundings isn’t it. Funnily enough my post is about the same kind of thing-great things! And my little boy loves moss too.

    1. It was a lovely little scoot about, and then we went on a leisurely walk the next day, too – been really enjoying our local surroundings 🙂

  3. How lovely, your daughter has the same scooter as my little T! 🙂 It’s lovely to finally get out in the sunshine isn’t it? Looks like it will be grey-clouds for us again this week, at least it’s going to be dry (or so the 5 day weather forecast predicts!) Hope you have more sunshine on your side of England! #CountryKids.

  4. Lovely photos from your Spring walk/scoot which I’m sure was fun particularly as the sun was shining. Here’s to more fun outdoors and many more sunny days. Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.

    1. Thank you 🙂 No, hers is way too low for me to do it properly, which is the excuse I’ll be sticking with 😉

  5. Firstly I thought the conifer was a giant bug and it scared me greatly! I LOVE taking the kids out for a walk but my girl is not as good on the scooter as yours. It would defo just be me. Pushing a buggy and holding a bloomin scooter. Grrrrr #thethemegame xxx

  6. OK, the fir cone made me think of something else entirely-I have a one track mind currently! Neither of mine are especially keen on scooting-they prefer bikes. I however, want one of those grown up scooters-that would be cool 🙂 #TheThemeGame

    1. Boo likes both, but she mastered her scooter when she was 2, so is more comfortable on that than a bike, I think. Ah, yes, that’d be fun!

  7. Boo is so adorable in her pink clothes, on her pink scooter… how did you get around the yellow wheels?! We also have lots of pink in our house 😉
