Siblings September 2017

Over the past few weeks, since my last post, we’ve had our first holiday abroad, more fun in the summer holidays, Little Man’s fifth birthday and Boo’s return to school with Little Man starting school. It’s been a busy month! And with all of these events and changes, my two have had so much fun and grown even closer.

Our holiday was fabulous, we all loved it and didn’t want to leave. The kids played from morning ’til night and then we could hear them giggling together at bedtime as they enjoyed the novelty of sharing a bedroom. I’ll share more about our break here next week, but suffice to say it was a hit.

I’d say that Boo was then as excited as Little Man was about his birthday, both of them up early, keen for the day to begin. He is now five and Boo’s on the countdown to her eighth birthday as it’s exactly one month after her brother’s. Then there was the start of school, Boo going into KS2 and Little Man into Reception.

Boo has been great at talking school up in the run up to starting, and I know that Little Man feels secure knowing that his big sister’s always somewhere in the building with him. They don’t share play times yet, though that time will come, but they occasionally spot each other as they move about the school and that brings much excitement. As they come out to me each afternoon, they’re looking for one another straightaway, desperate to share their days with each other. They bond over things that are happening at school and through these lovely little chats they seem closer than ever. It’s great to see, I am enjoying school life so far.

This months photos were taken at the beautiful Shugborough Hall.

Little Man aged 5 years old, Boo aged 7 years and 11 months. Love them.

    1. They get so excited when they bump into each other, despite living with one another and seeing each other daily! It’s going well so far, thanks x
