Family & Days Out Parenting

Siblings March 2018

These two are too close this month, just too close! I think it’s a combination of a few things, from awful weather weekends keeping us inside a bit more than usual, the excitement of our upcoming holiday and Little Man being poorly a couple of times. All of these things together mean that their energy levels are high and their desire to be as close as they physically can to one another has got up a notch.

Boo hates it when Little Man is ill and counts down the moments until they can play and cuddle together again. And given that this illness was a sickness bug, I was trying to keep them apart so she didn’t catch it (she didn’t, phew!) but she just wants to hug him all the time, which doesn’t help me!

A lot of time has been spent watching Orlando vlogs, and I’m not sure what’s currently got them the most excited – Disney World, the water parks and pools or the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios. I wrote last month about how they’ve made Sundays into Disney days, well there’s now talk of Saturdays being Universal days and there was a lot of spell casting taking place here over the weekend.

And as to the weather, I am so happy to finally feel that spring might be in the air. I am picturing a few brighter, drier weekends (please!) so that we can all get out and about on a few adventures and these two can use up some of their energy running about and playing outside. Here’s to spring!

These photos were snapped one morning this week before school. They watch a little TV after they have their breakfast, and of course, need to be right next to each other to do so. I particularly love that Little Man couldn’t take his eyes off the TV for one moment for a photo…

Boo aged 8 years and 5 months and Little Man aged 5 years and 6 months. Love them.
