Siblings August 2018

We’re already halfway through the summer holidays, the time is flying by.

These two love the summer break. We try to get that balance between having things planned in, places to go, people to see, and then having days where we have nowhere that we need to be. Those are the days that I really notice how close Boo and Little Man are to one another, as they can happily stay home all day, moving from one game to the next, throwing in a movie here and there and running about outside. They are content playing in their own little worlds separately, and then kind of gravitate together again when they fancy it, and so on. It’s lovely to see. It tends to take the first few days for them to settle in to each other (I don’t book a holiday in that first week, they’re still too hyped up!) and then they find a relaxed rhythm that sees them through the rest of the break.

So far the hits have been the paddling pool, water beads, Playmobil, board games, TMNT toys, and colouring. Good old colouring, it never lets us down! Then they also love to play ‘schools’, so maybe they do miss it a bit?! They are also filling in a little notebook each night with anything they’d like to to capture their day, be it a drawing, a couple of words or a page full, they are really enjoying doing it. I love seeing them both sat at their desks concentrating, and then popping to proudly show each other what they’ve done.

We’ve a few more adventures to look forward to this month, and then we have Little Man’s birthday at the end of the holidays. These two have lots more fun to come.

This month’s photos were all taken when we were in beautiful Devon earlier this month….

Boo aged 8 years and 10 months old, Little Man aged 5 years and 11 months old. Love them.

Sharing is caring!
