SHOUT! Review & Give-Away

Those clever people over at Drumond Park have been at it again and released a fun new board game.

SHOUT is the brilliant new team game of quirky questions and cunning challenges that will have everyone in stitches.

SHOUT uses a unique new stand that acts as a timer, keeps the score and displays the super-sized cards to the team who all play at once. Just answer the nine quirky challenges on the card before your time is up.

RRP £29.99

We like our board games here, so I was keen to give this one a go, especially as the set up intrigued me!

SHOUT!

The game is for two teams, and it’s a case of taking turns to get as many answers on the card as you can before the timer runs out. There’s a maximum of nine per card.

The question cards offer great variety, keeping you on your toes throughout, thinking literally and laterally. There are also plenty of cards in the game, so you won’t find yourself repeatedly answering the same questions. Here’s a look at the cards…

So there are word-searches, which can be tricky as there are two choices of category you can select within each one, such as ‘cakes or fruit’ and once chosen, those are the ones you need to get. And I can guarantee that once you go for ‘cakes’ all you’ll see are the ‘fruits’! That card there with the rainbow on is offering up a series of clues that are all ‘colours of the rainbow’ for you to get. And then there are cards such as the photo one there where you have to match up the words with the correct images, in this case, all connected to nursery rhymes.

The winners are the first team to score 69 points, and then to make it even more interesting, there’s also a ‘Double or Nothing’ card that teams can play on their turn – I do like a little risky addition to a game!

SHOUT! is quite unlike other games we’ve played, and I’d struggle to come up with another game to compare it to. It gets your brain ticking, and I love the various ways that it does this, and I think the actual look of it is quirky and memorable. It’s a very welcome addition to our games cupboard, and as I’m typing this, I’m actually itching to play it again!

And the lovely folks at Drumond Park have also given me a copy of SHOUT! to give away to one of my lucky readers! So, to be in with a chance of winning this one, simple leave a comment and enter using the rafflecopter below. Give-away closes 28th November 2014, open to UK entrants only.
