Send Some Snail Mail This Month! #BringBackPaper

This month, I’d love to encourage more people to send out some snail mail, by running a little #BringBackPaper challenge.

It’s such a simple thing to do, and I absolutely believe that it cheers up the recipient and is a fun thing for the sender to do. I know, I know, I do go on about this, but just try it and you’ll see why.

OK, so you’ve read this far and you’re thinking, ‘yes, this would be a nice thing to do….but who do I write to?’ Good question. Fortunately, it’s one that I can help with!

– send a postcard when you’re out and about
– send a cheer up package/card to a friend in need
– pen a chatty letter to a friend
– swap something – seeds, books, stamps, stationery, it really doesn’t matter!

If not you, kids adore getting post, so perhaps your little one would enjoy sending snail mail to a friend? My children love it when they get a letter!

And yes I know you can email, text, Skype, message on social media, WhatsApp, call or whatever else, but in what way do those things involve pretty stationery and washi tape? Aha, they don’t you see, and we all know we enjoy getting busy with stationery!

Those of you who are regular snail mailers, send more! Your challenge this month is to write to someone that you don’t regularly correspond with. Write to a friend, an aunt, send a postcard to surprise someone, drop a note to a pen pal you’ve perhaps not heard from for some time, pop a little happy package in the post to a friend, pass that book on you’ve really enjoyed to someone you think would enjoy it – anything goes! And please do help by spreading this post, this message, encouraging people far and wide to snail mail. A little more snail mail out there can only be a good thing, I think. Wouldn’t you agree?

Do let us know using the #BringBackPaper hash tag on Instagram or Twitter if you do join in with this, as I know that we all love peeping at photos of snail mail!

What will you be posting this month?

Sharing is caring!
