Scarecrow Hunting!

At the weekend, we decided to visit Tatton Park, another wonderful venue in our National Trust handbook. There was a scarecrow festival on, with lots of them dotted around to search out, so Boo was delighted!

It was absolutely tipping it down, but it was nice to get out and explore, and the children enjoyed the many puddles..

And the Husband was impressed to spot some Star Wars scarecrows right at the end there, too..

The gardens were huge and extensive, but I admit the cold wind and rain did put us off staying out there for too long, so we retreated for lunch and talked about how lovely the gardens will all look in full bloom and on a dry day! We will be back!

  1. You made it just before the sickness descended! It’s a shame about the weather, but that’s a theme at the moment isn’t it? Definitely looks worth a return visit in nicer weather 🙂

  2. Couldn’t help smiling at you all imagining the garden in full bloom. I look out at our garden and imagine the same! Scarecrow trails are such fun! #CountryKids

  3. The NT are so good at coming up with ways to entice families into their properties and despite the weather it’s obviously working. Let’s hope the weather picks up soon and we can all enjoy some extended time outdoors. Thanks for linking up and sharing your scarecrow trail with Country Kids.

  4. Well done for braving the bad weather and making the most of your visit despite it. I must admit the first scarecrow has a rather questionable mound of straw coming from its trousers – or is that just me?!
Certainly looks like a place to revisit when the warmer weather arrives. #CoutnryKids
