Hooray, it’s time for another swap here with #BringBackPaper! Just before I get onto that, a note about #SundayStationery. It’s looking like it works best just sharing over on social media using the hash tag, rather than as a blog post, which makes sense and is nice and easy. So I’ll still be running it every Sunday and I’ll still be happily browsing your pretty pics, but I’ll do it all over on Instagram and Twitter, without posting here, too. Hope that suits!
Onto the swap then, and this month, it’s all about books…
Ooh, I do love a book swap! I like selecting the book to send almost as much as I like receiving the surprise package. It’s led me to read books I would not normally have chosen, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them. It’s also a nice way to get books you’ve appreciated back out into the world. This isn’t about going out and buying a brand new book to send to someone, though of course you can do that if you want to, this is about sending a pre-loved book on to someone in the hope that they enjoy it as much as you did…
To join in, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with the following details:
Name, address, favourite 3 reading genres, least favourite genre. (swaps are all to be fiction only)
I’ll then endeavour to pair you up with someone with some similar tastes, where possible. As I’m sure you can appreciate, I can’t guarantee to pair you up with someone with the same preferences and the idea behind the swap is still that you receive a pot luck book that perhaps you wouldn’t have picked up yourself. That’s a big part of the concept behind it. But, this should mean I can try to pair you with readers with similar tastes and the swap may be more in your regular reading vein, and at the very least, you get a chance to say what you really don’t want to receive!
All swaps need to be sent in time to be received by the end of October, so please do only join in if you can commit to sending a book this month, as I’d hate for anyone to be disappointed.
Exciting! Are you in?
