Man Laughs in the Face of Hannibal

I’m linking up with What’s the Story? today and sharing with you one of my all-time favourite photos…

DSCF0078

This is my brother, and famed horrifying serial killer Hannibal Lecter. And does he tremble in his wake? No, he looks ridiculously chipper and cheerful to be photographed with him!

We took this when the husband and I went to LA with my brother and his wife, for the first few days of their honeymoon a few years back (they then went on to Tonga, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore without us, so don’t fret, they had privacy!) It was a fabulous three days that I’m certain we’ll all remember for as long as we live – breakfasting on Santa Monica pier, shopping at The Grove, a Warner Studios Bros tour and taking in the sights of Hollywood, which is where we were here. The waxworks movie museum had plenty of characters and cast to be photographed with, so we have plenty more (I do like one of myself standing happily with the Wicked Witch of the West :-)), but this one just tickled me. Just look at the joy on his face to be in such close proximity with a murderer…..! And of course, it brings back so many happy memories. We had fun, and after our three days together, the husband and I went on to a road trip around California and popped over the border to Las Vegas – oh, those were the days… 😉

    1. They were really good. Loads of different characters to be photographed with. I’ll pop over to Twitter & share my photo…!

  1. What a brilliant photo of your brother with Hannibal Lecter! I’m not surprised it’s one of your favourites. It sounds like you had the most wonderful trip, what awesome places to go to. Thank you for sharing with #whatsthestory

    1. I’d highly recommend it – it was fabulous! Only 2 weeks, so managed LA, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, San Diego & the OC. Could easily spend another month seeing so much more…one day…!
