Hello 2020

Well, here we are then, back to work, back to normality, in 2020.

The kids have gone back to school today so it’s just Herbie and I at home. The normal routines have kicked back in and I am back at my desk, dog on my lap.

I would happily have had another couple of weeks of Christmas laziness, to be honest. We all had a good break, and we didn’t really get up to much. We saw family, there were a couple of trips to the cinema, meals out, a bit of sales shopping and then there were hours of playing games, reading books, watching films, playing with new toys and just lazing about together. And eating, there was a lot of snacking!

I am never a fan of January, is anyone? I have planned a few things in for the month for us all to enjoy and then we have a holiday on the horizon.

40 days until Disney World is keeping me going. Knowing that we have a full two weeks together again in less than six weeks is definitely helping me get back into the swing of things. I also have an eye on things that I need to do to ensure we are all set for our holiday, so it’s nice to have a few holiday-related jobs to get done this month.

This week is about getting a few jobs and chores done, getting myself and the house organised, and getting back into my freelancing work. I am easing myself back into it all. Then next week I am kicking the week off with a goals planning session with a good friend so that’s when the work will really begin.

I feel like taking on something new this year. A completely new challenge. I have no clue what it will be yet, I am waiting for inspiration to strike. I know that I need new challenges to keep me on track, it keeps me going. So I guess it’s a case of watch this space in that respect, I’ll be sure to let you know once I have worked it out myself!

In the meantime, Happy New Year to you all, let’s see what 2020 has in store for us…

Sharing is caring!

  1. My two are both back tomorrow and it will be strange to be in the house by myself. It sounds like you had a lovely time over Christmas.
I hate January. It’s so dark and depressing. Ahh! How exciting to be going to Disney! It’s something for you to look forward to.
Good luck with your new challenge whatever it may be x

    1. I hope they have gone back OK today then. Oh, January is grim! I think I’m going to need a Disney break every Feb from now on!!! Thanks, Kim x
