Fun Pre-Schooler Books From DK

We’ve received some new books here, thanks to the lovely people over at DK, and they’ve really put a smile on Little Man’s face and sparked his interest.

My daughter adores her books and attempts to acquire more on every shopping trip we go on. My son, on the other hand, is definitely his father’s! When I excitedly told him that he’d be receiving a lovely new bundle of books his reply was ‘but I don’t need any more books, I’ve got enough books’. Er, no, you can NEVER have enough books, though this is exactly what I hear from the Husband, the fool. My son enjoys his books at bedtime, but he’s all about his toys in the daytime. Or he was. Until the DK preschooler book bundle arrived for him….

Little Man Reading DK Books

DK Books

I don’t think I’ve ever seen him get this excited over books! As you can probably tell from the photos, he was absorbed and was going from one book to the next, then back again. He was then bursting to show them to Boo as soon as she got home from school, and she thoroughly enjoyed reading them all to him. We’ve had these for over a week now, and these are his go-to books every evening. To see him so interested and engaged is brilliant.

These books have lift the flaps, noises, tabs to pull, pop-ups, all things that fascinate and interest Little Man at just turned 3, along with the fact that they are non-fiction, which he is often drawn to. The numbers and colours books are great for helping him with the basics, and as he’s pretty good with these already, he enjoys being able to tell me all about them. He giggles over the animal noises and races me to reach the flaps that trigger those ones. The books are all factual, creating plenty of talking points for us, whilst we’re looking through them.

Here are the details of each of the titles we received…
