Disney on Ice: Worlds of Enchantment Tour

Last week we spent a magical afternoon at Disney On Ice’s Worlds of Enchantment tour. It was utterly brilliant!

We are big Disney fans in our house, so this was absolutely perfect for us. We have seen Disney On Ice a few times now and it seems that we all get more excited about it with every show that go to! And I am delighted to say that Worlds of Enchantment lived up to expectations, we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

We got seated around ten minutes before it began and I was amazed to see how quickly the arena filled up. It was absolutely packed out, I couldn’t spot an empty seat! These two were excited, wearing their matching Mickey Mouse tops….

I took several shots, but no, not one with Little Man being able to take his eyes off the ice! The show hadn’t even started, but he didn’t want to run the risk of missing anything!

About the Show
Thrill to high-speed stunts as Lightning McQueen, Mater and the crew of Disney/Pixar’s Cars race across the ice like you’ve never seen before! Dive into adventure with Ariel in The Little Mermaid’s enchanted undersea kingdom. The toys are back in town when Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie and the Toy Story gang escape from the rambunctious tots of Sunnyside Daycare in their most daring adventure ever! Plus, enter the wintry world of Arendelle with sisters Anna and Elsa and pals Olaf and Kristoff from Disney’s Frozen, as they learn that true love comes from within. What’s more, don’t miss the chance to warm up at the Fit to Dance pre-show party!

Having seen a few Disney On Ice shows, we were really looking forward to seeing Toy Story as we’d never seen that on ice before and we are all big fans. And of course, you can’t do Disney On Ice without Mickey and Minnie, it just wouldn’t be right!

Mickey and Minnie anchored it all, introducing each segment as part of their adventure story. Oh, and with Goofy clumsily falling over throughout, which Little Man loved!

For us, the addition of Toy Story to this tour really made it special as those films are amongst our favourites and we’ve all seen them countless times. This was actually quite a long section of the show, covering the Toy Story 3 story-line. All of the main characters were there, including Slinky Dog which must have been tricky to skate!

Next up, was The Little Mermaid which was just magical, with fabulous costumes and bubbles making us feel like we were watching a scene under the sea. I liked how the show moved from a Pixar hit to a Princess classic.

The intermission was well-timed, with an audience full of families needing food and toilet breaks, and before we knew it, we were back into the performance.

Cars arrived next, to huge applause and screaming from all around the arena. This was a relatively short segment, but well worth seeing as it was quite the spectacle seeing cars moving around the ice and great to see such well-loved characters in procession around the rink.

And I think you can’t really top a Frozen finale, such a popular film and sensational scenes to watch on ice. I adore this film and sang along to every word, much to the children’s chagrin! We have seen this before included on the tour, but this was differently arranged with more songs and we all loved it.

The production value of these tours seems to improve every time that we see them. This felt so slick and packed full, and I think the films they have included really do offer something for everyone as they are so very popular. The kids really enjoyed every moment of it and as an adult I was impressed, as a Disney fan, I left with a happy heart!

Check out when the tour is visiting your area and find out more about the show here.
