Books & Reading Bring Back Paper

Bring Back Paper Book Swap April 2017

Oh, I do love a Bring Back Paper book swap! Reading remains my favourite pastime, making this my favourite swap, and I love the thought of an unknown book turning up one day.

The idea behind the book swap is nice and simple and easy to get involved with. It’s open to absolutely anyone aged over 18, worldwide. The idea is to send a pre-loved fiction book out into the world for someone else to enjoy, and for the recipient to be reading something that they may not have chosen themselves. It’s a fun way to discover new authors and a really lovely item of surprise happy mail to receive.

Book Swap April 2017

To join in, please email me at jocelyn@thereadingresidence.com with the following details:

Name, address, your top 3 genres and your least favourite genre. To keep postage costs down, I’ll aim to pair you with someone in the same country.

The idea behind the swap is that you receive a pot luck book that perhaps you would not have picked up yourself, though by specifying a few genres, it means you’re likely to get something to your taste. Of course, I can’t guarantee absolute genre matches, but your swap partner will be able to see your favourites and least favourites so it will help them when choosing a book for you.

You will all be in pairs, so you will be sending to the same person that you will receive your book from. I will send over email details along with the address details of your swap partner so that you can get in touch with one another directly in the case of any problems. All swaps need to be sent in time to be received by the end of April, so please do only join in if you can commit to sending a book this month, as I’d hate for anyone to be disappointed.

Now I’m off to scour my bookshelves to decide which book to send out into the world! Are you in?
