Brighten Someone’s Day

You know that I love to run Bring Back Paper activities every month, and this month I wanted to do something a little different. I normally arrange swaps and sign ups to get happy mail flying about all over the place, but this month I’m asking you to send one, at least one, item of post to someone to brighten their day.

The idea behind this couldn’t be more simple. There will be someone, possibly several someones, in your life that would appreciate some surprise mail. And let’s be honest, who wouldn’t?

What I’m asking is for each and every one of you to send something through the post this month to brighten someone’s day.

It’s December so it might just be a Christmas card or wish. If you were already doing that, could you add an extra note or treat to it? You could send a Christmas read onto a friend, you could post a care package to someone who is having a rough time at the moment or you could send flowers to make someone smile.

Perhaps you haven’t written to pen pals for months, make this the month that you drop a card out to them, let them know that you’re thinking of them. Send a postcard to surprise someone, a few stickers to a child or a funny note to make someone laugh. Honestly, it can be anything that you want it to be, it’s just about being kind and thoughtful.

I’m hoping that many of you will join in with this one. It’s such a lovely thing to do, for you and the recipient. Spread a little kindness and brighten someone’s day this month with Bring Back Paper.

Is this something that you’re up for?
