Book Swap January 2019

Let’s kick the new year off with a Bring Back Paper activity, we’ll go for a book swap!

Now if you’ve yet to get involved in one of these, the idea behind the book swap is nice and simple and easy for anyone to join in. It’s open internationally, as long as you are aged over 18. The idea is to send a pre-loved fiction book out into the world for someone else to enjoy, and for the recipient to be reading something that they may not have chosen themselves. It’s a really lovely item of surprise happy mail to receive and it might help you to find a new author or genre that you love.

Join the Book Swap

If you’d like to join in, please email me at [email protected] with the following details:

Name, address, and your least favourite genre.

To keep postage costs down, I’ll aim to pair you with someone in the same country wherever possible.

The idea behind the swap is that you receive a completely pot luck book that perhaps you would not have picked up yourself, though by specifying your least favourite genre, it means you shouldn’t get something that you already know you really don’t like!

You will all be in pairs, so you will be sending to the same person that you will receive your book from. I will send over email details along with the address details of your swap partner so that you can get in touch with one another directly in the case of any problems.

The swap is open until 28th January 2019 and all swaps need to be sent in time to be received by the end of January, so please do only join in if you can commit to sending a book this month, as I’d hate for anyone to be disappointed.

Is this something you fancy trying this month?
