AD The Easy Way To Find Local Childcare

This is advertorial content

Have you heard of Childcare.co.uk? I have to say that I hadn’t until they got in touch with me and invited me to have a good look around their website and share my findings here. Now that I have done so, I’m happy to share more about it with you today as I can see it being really useful for many of you.

Childcare.co.uk is a platform which allows parents to search for and connect with babysitters, childminders, nannies, nurseries, private tutors and schools and also allows childcare providers to advertise their services. The site has more than 2 million users nationwide and is the largest online community for parents in the UK having launched in 2009.

What’s it all about?

Childcare.co.uk is a website designed to connect parents with a variety of childcare professionals, with strong TrustPilot ratings and reviews and several top awards to its name. It is free to create an account there and start looking for childcare. It aims to help parents to find appropriate childcare, which can be anything from babysitters to nannies to private tutors. Professionals in the field can create their own accounts there and share their services. They feature reviews from parents and parents can contact childcarers privately to discuss their needs.

How easy it is to use and find carers?

As soon as you visit the site, there is a search facility box available for you to use. You can use this without first registering with the site and it will give you an idea of everything that is available locally to you.

On putting my post code in, it returned 352 childcare providers listed within 5 miles of my house. It also suggested that I filter my results further into categories such as childminders, private tutors, maternity nurses and more. I decided to further explore the babysitting options local to me.

There were 214 babysitters within 5 miles of me, and I could then filter these results down further with stacks of options. I might need a day babysitter, an Ofsted registered babysitter, a first aid trainer babysitter, a Corona helper, a male babysitter, an emergency babysitter, a Montessori trained babysitter, and the list really does go on and on. Go take a look yourself and you’ll see what I mean. Of course, many of these cross over and many profiles listed had several of these skills, qualifications or availability listed. I found it to be a handy way to filter down the results before then looking into the profiles.

Every childcare professional has their own profile for parents to review, along with star ratings. Many of the profiles have a response time listed, which I think is a great addition, particularly in the ’emergency babysitters’ category. Their hourly rates are detailed and you can message them there, you just need to be registered with Childcare.co.uk to do this.

My thoughts on Childcare.co.uk

I can see why it has so many users and positive reviews, as it fulfils an important need. Along with matching up parents with childcare professionals, it shares pertinent information and reviews about them, and it is all in one place.

I found it very easy to navigate around the site and managed to find what I wanted within minutes, seconds even in some scenarios that I tried.

I would recommend it as a resource and database to anyone looking for childcare, though obviously I can’t comment on the quality of the childcare provided by any individuals registered with Childcare.co.uk. I think it’s really helpful to have so much information readily available in one place, saving parents time and energy when they are looking for childcare support of any kind. I can also see it being useful for last minute and emergency childcare alongside the longer term provisions available.

What do you think, have you used Childcare.co.uk before?
