A Week In Cornwall

We’ve been away all week, staying at the fabulous Coombe Mill, in Cornwall. As such, we’ve been out and about every day, and the children have had heaps of fresh air and sea air filling their lungs! A few highlights, with more tales coming soon on the blog…

We visited the Eden Project…

Meandered around many pretty harbours and towns…

And then there has been Coombe Mill itself. The freedom, the fun and the feed run! We’ve loved it..

    1. Thank you. It’s been brilliant, and I didn’t know that about Eden – glad we got in earlier in the week then! X

  1. Looks like you’ve had a great time, the kids must have loved it!

I’ve been wanting to get the family down to Cornwall for years now…though it’s a bit of a trek from Scotland! I haven’t been since I was a kid and it always looks so idyllic. Coombe Mill looks a lot of fun too, are you an official blogger for them?

    1. They adored it! Yes, it’s a fair old way for us, and we’re central England – you could fly?! No, not official bloggers. We just wanted to go and so we did! I will blog about it though, of course!

    1. The feed run was brilliant and they really did love that, and concentrate! It was a great holiday, thanks 🙂

  2. Whatever setting you had your camera on for the harbour photo was a good one-that’s such a crisp and clear shot-very nice indeed 🙂

    1. These were all taken on my phone, as I uploaded them to the post while I was away. I’ve stacks more on my camera, but I need to get home to the PC for those! I was pleased with that shot, too, thank you x

  3. It looks like you’ve had a fantastic time! We visited Lanhydrock last time we were down when LP was a year old and loved it, it’s beautiful there! We also visited the Eden Project the first time we were in Cornwall when I was 36 weeks pregnant with LP and it nearly killed me! So hot and so much walking – Again beautiful though!
We’re planning to go to the Lost Gardens of Heligan tomorrow and a trip to Lands End but apart from that we haven’t got a huge amount on the agenda! x

    1. Oh, I can imagine how tough the Eden Project would have been then! It’s nice to not have much planned. You can just take it easy & have a fab time. Enjoy x

    1. Yes, I commented as we came back up through Devon this morning how it is noticeably different to Cornwall. Both very beautiful counties x

    1. The weather wasn’t too bad – could’ve been worse in March! Some rainy days, but then we also saw some sun. Can’t complain!

  4. Jocelyn, it was a pleasure to meet you and the family and I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. I’m so pleased you saw so much of Cornwall whilst you were down. Still plenty you missed, but there is always another visit! Thank you for sharing a glimpse of your holiday here on Country Kids, were these really just the photos from your phone? They are very good!

    1. Lovely to meet you, too! We all loved it and can’t believe how quickly it went. I’m sure Boo will be talking about Farmer Nick for a long time to come! Yes, all these photos are from my phone – it’s a iPhone 5 & not a bad camera at all! X

  5. Lovely post. Great photographs! Glad you enjoyed yourselves, Cornwall is lovely. Any remaining damage following the winter storms? We’re off to Looe soon – can’t wait.
