A Little Shoe Shopping

I remember before I had the kids, shopping was all about me. Well, that’s really not so these days, and I do find myself more excitable shopping for the kids anyway! Anyone else feel like that, too? It’s almost like it’s OK to indulge where they’re concerned, and so I can carry on…!

My daughter, at 5, likes to have an extensive footwear collection. I’m not quite sure when it started, probably when she first toddled, but she has shoes for every occasion. At the moment, and I’ve just had a quick look in her wardrobe to refresh my memory, she has 2 pairs of trainers, slippers, some sparkly Toms, flip flops, sandals, wellies, 2 pairs of boots and her school shoes. And basically, she wears her school shoes the majority of the time, as you’d expect.

My 2 year old son loves his shoes. Whether it be new trainers, wellies or sandals, he is always desperate to try new ones on, and he also enjoys wearing mummy’s and daddy’s and shuffling about the house, too. Unfortunately, he only seems to have 3-4 items at a time – slippers, trainers, wellies and then sandals when it’s warm. This is probably normal, I’m just used to Boo having a range!

Anyway, I’ve been having a little browse over at Melijoe, for both of my children.

For Boo I like…

melijoe girls footwear

START RITE Cloth shoes
AIGLE Rain boots
CONVERSE All Star Sea green high top trainers
AGATHA RUIZ DE LA PRADA Leather rope-soled sandals

And for Little Man I like…

melijoe footwear

BE ONLY Striped rain boots
LEVI’S Twill and leather low-top trainers
CONVERSE All Star canvas low-top trainers
CAMPER Leather sandals

Do your children have lots of footwear? What would you choose?

Disclosure: Written in collaboration with Melijoe, though all words and opinions are my own

Sharing is caring!

  1. I find that for Jack shoes are not too difficult to choose or buy but for Elena the amount of different necessities (!) are endless! Shoes for school, wellies, trainers, party shoes, boots, pumps!!! These look a great selection x
