Young HoneyTree Stationery Review & Giveaway

A couple of weeks ago I shared with you a package full of paper gorgeousness in my HoneyTree Post Review and Giveaway (the give away is still running, by the way!) and I promised that I would bring you more. Well, that day has arrived. Today I am sharing with you the delights of Young HoneyTree, a stationery subscription box for children….

Young HoneyTree

Designed for children 6-12yrs, our specially curated box of stationery surprises will make them reach for a pen instead of a keyboard. They’ll have great fun discovering what’s in their parcel each month… and you never know, you might be the recipient of one of their pieces!

Fun, beautifully designed exclusive items from the UK’s leading illustrated bespoke stationers. They will receive at least 7 stationery items with a retail value of no less than £30. For example, items might include greeting cards, postcards, notecards, gift tags and loads of stickers to use and share.

Prices are from £10.50 per month, UK postage is free, and they do ship internationally.

So this parcel arrived at the same time as mine, but I hid it from my girl until we had a quiet afternoon with nothing much on. I thought it would add a little excitement to the day, and it certainly did, she loved it! Want to take a peek?

Young HoneyTree Box

How gorgeous? I love the Alice in Wonderland theme, and though I’d guess most young girls would know who she is, even if they don’t they cannot help but love this.

Included in this month’s box are 2 cards with envelopes, 1 postcard, 4 gift tags with ribbons, 4 stickers, 4 notecards with envelopes and a ‘my favourite cup cake recipe’ sheet.

As with the stationery lovers box, the parcel arrives in a box suitable for slotting through a letterbox, and is then lovingly wrapped in dotty tissue paper. The quality of this stationery is just beautiful, every card thick and nicely textured and the original illustrations sweet and captivating. It’s the little details, too, such as the cup and saucer on the back of the note card envelopes that make this feel special.

Surely a stationery box like this would encourage children to put pen to paper? I love it, let alone Boo, and I can see kids and adults alike enjoying this. Boo already has a friend in mind that she’d like to send the birthday card to and she’s asking who she can send the postcard to and invite someone round for tea, of course!

A snail mail session awaits mother and daughter here, and I know we’re both looking forward to settling down with our new stationery and sending a little happy mail out into the world.

  1. How pretty! As an adult, I love stationary, and sending snail mail. I think (after reading this), that my love started after receiving my first box of stationary at around age 12. It was a dark pink box with flowers on it, and it had a folded ribbon you could lift as the way to open the top, with various matched letters and envelopes. I hope this set starts your daughter down the path of stationary love, as it certainly has brought much happiness to me over the years!

  4. I like that it fits through your letterbox, I really get disappointed when I get a missed delivery and have to wait or go and fetch it.

  5. Oh my goodness!!! This is absolutely amazing!! It’s so beautiful! I think my favourite bit about it would be that I’d know someone would be as happy to receive a card from me as I had been to receive this box!! ???

  6. I love the old-fashioned correspondence aspect of it – people don’t write letters anymore but it’s far more fun to receive a letter on a lovely notecard or notepaper in the post than it is to receive an email or text. My daughter would love it.

  7. I love the Alice in Wonderland theme! Who doesn’t love this story! Perfect excuse to re read the book together too!

  8. I Iove this box because it would be my daughters idea of heaven. She’s very creative and absolutely loves staitonary , cards she’s always busy writing. This is a great idea for a present as well it’s something to look forward to each month .

The EAT ME tags with ribbons especially – they’d look really lush used tied to homemade Christmas or birthday edibles as presents, which I’m hoping to finally get round to doing this year. Love the dotty tissue paper a lot, as the start of opening something is tremendously important for setting the tone. Love everything else too.

  11. everything is just so beautiful. I love that it all fits into such a small box, my DD would love to receive it through the post.

  12. They look such good quality and also it’s such a good way to get children/young adults away from those pesky tablets & games consoles.

  13. I’m a firm believer of keeping the tradition of writing going. My daughter and I always enjoy writing thank you letters

  14. First of all I love the tribute to Alice which will appeal to the youngsters, but then the selection on offer is superb, covering so many occasions. This would certainly encourage putting pen to paper, a hobby which needs encouraging as technology interferes so much.

  15. I love this because it reminds me of the stationery set I had as a little girl, and how much I used to love sending and receiving things in the mail.

  16. I love the variety of stationery, and the fact it’s themed – what a brilliant idea, and a great way of encouraging writing 🙂 Looks good quality too

  17. My girls love stationary & since we moved house I’m encouraging them to write to their old friends rather than rely on social media messaging. This box has beautiful designed stationary that my girls would love ?

  18. its for personal messages, all hand written with love care and attention, not merely shoved in an email or text…the impersonal way. would love to win, please count me in!
