Word of the Week 5/1/18

Hello and welcome to Word of the Week!

If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. It’s a fun and friendly linky, so please do be lovely and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and share with them your thoughts on their words and weeks. I do comment on every entry to the linky, and if you add the Word of the Week badge to your post to help spread the ‘word’, I also tweet them out.

My word of the week this week is:

It’s been a lovely, slow, relaxed week here. With the kids still at home, routine has yet to return and we’ve been enjoying it.

The Husband was off work until Tuesday so it was good to get more family time. We’ve had a week of catching up with family and friends, mixed in with lazy mornings, chilled movie afternoons, and plenty of play. The kids are enjoying their new Christmas presents, and then they are also completely ignoring them and running round creating their own imaginary worlds together. We’ve read books, coloured in, crafted, played games and generally just taken things slowly. I have ignored my study books completely as I can relax knowing that my assignments for this month have both been handed in, and I have dipped in and out of blog work whenever I have fancied it.

Yep, it’s all felt pretty relaxed around here, and I plan to make the most of it before school, uni and work recommence on Monday. Oh, and I am still eating mince pies and plenty of chocolates. Perfect!

What about you? What one word sums up your week best?

Please grab the badge, link up and share…

  1. It sounds a lovely week. We’re back to school and work. No-one really wanted to go, but batteries were recharged, which is probably the most important part. I’m chomping through panettone still (I know still!). We didn’t have any mince pies this year but lots of panettone. Thanks for hosting.

    1. We didn’t break up until the 22nd, which felt late but I’ve enjoyed having lots of time after Christmas off x

  3. Ahh! This is been my week too….It has been lovely doing not much at all.
In the middle of the week I found a Christmas pudding, mince pies and a Yule log that I forgot I bought. hehehe
    Thank you for hosting x

  4. Ah I do love mince pies. They seem to be rare when New Year comes round though. A relaxing and fun family time sounds perfect. Thanks for hosting. #WotW
