Word of the Week 28/7/17

Hello and welcome to Word of the Week!

If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. It’s a fun and friendly linky, so please do be lovely and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and share with them your thoughts on their words and weeks. I do comment on every entry to the linky, and if you add the Word of the Week badge to your post to help spread the ‘word’, I also tweet them out.

My word of the week this week is:

Little Man and Boo are always at their loudest, most energetic and high-spirited for the first few days of the holidays. Always. I remind myself of this every time now, as they drive me crazy for a few days and then they settle down (a bit) and life gets a little calmer! Of course, we have had an exciting start to the break as we’ve been busy in our first week of the holidays, which has added to excitement levels.

Over the weekend we visited the National Forest Adventure Farm, which was lots of fun, and we also managed to get all uniforms sorted, cleared out their wardrobes (an annual job that I weirdly enjoy) and caught up with family. We then had a fab break and sleepover at Warwick Castle on Monday which I’ll share more about with you on Monday. Tuesday saw us cram in a National Trust visit to Charlecote Park, a trip to Astley Book Farm and a visit to a farm and craft centre. Wednesday and Thursday were play dates mixed up with downtime to build Lego, play board games and watch movies. And today, today we have another play date. So yes, a busy week full of fun, getting organised and having adventures. It’s no wonder they’ve been boisterous!

What about you? What one word sums up your week best?

Please grab the badge, link up and share (Please note it’s a new badge code, so do use this one, thanks!)

  1. Looks like we are the opposite. Our first week is always quiet as they recover. In all fairness, I think my youngest does bounce around. Secondary seems to take longer to recover from, as my older two have collapsed. Your week sounds full of fun. Enjoy!
