Word of the Week 22/9/17

Hello and welcome to Word of the Week!

If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. It’s a fun and friendly linky, so please do be lovely and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and share with them your thoughts on their words and weeks. I do comment on every entry to the linky, and if you add the Word of the Week badge to your post to help spread the ‘word’, I also tweet them out.

My word of the week this week is:

Oh yes, I have been knuckling down to my Open University work this week.

My modules don’t actually start until 7th October, but as I’m studying two modules this year, and as they don’t allow breaks for half term, I was keen to get ahead.

I have decided on how I’m going to manage the two, at least for now anyway. I have concentrated solely on my Level 1 course and I’ve got the first assignment written and ready, and hope to have another completed by this time next week. I will then set that module aside and work through my Level 3 for the next couple of months, keeping pace with the weekly schedule. I think this will work better for me and save me switching between the two each week. Well, that’s what I think anyway, we’ll see!

So I’ve been completing an assignment around Classical Studies and Art History, two new fields to me, and I’m now amidst Religious Studies (fortunately not new!) and English Literature, not a favourite subject of mine, but I’m actually enjoying it so far.

It’s been good to get my head down and immerse myself in it all, and then my study breaks have involved blog work and housework, such treats! It’s all working for me for now anyway, the juggling is going well. Let’s hope it lasts!

What about you? What one word sums up your week best?

Please grab the badge, link up and share…

  1. It sounds like you have been super organised this week. Having a plan of attack will mean you get so much more done within the time you have available too. Best of luck with your final year x

  2. You do so well to keep yourself motivated. I’d love to return to studying, especially history, but think I’d spend my time surfing the web rather than knuckling down. I need a dose of your commitment I think, I truly admire it x
