Word of the Week 18/8/17

Hello and welcome to Word of the Week!

If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. It’s a fun and friendly linky, so please do be lovely and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and share with them your thoughts on their words and weeks. I do comment on every entry to the linky, and if you add the Word of the Week badge to your post to help spread the ‘word’, I also tweet them out.

My word of the week this week is:

We’ve had a good week, a mixture of catching up with friends and days out at Drayton Manor and doing the Big Sleuth trail in Birmingham. It’s been fun, it’s been tiring, and throughout it I have been preparing for our break.

It’s been things like getting the currency, printing travel documents and insurance details, checking us in, packing the cases and then there’s the home side of things to take care of. The guinea pigs have gone on their holidays to my mum’s, the garden’s been tidied, the house has been cleaned and I’ve been making sure I’m all up to date on blog work. I think all preparations are in place, I do hope so!

So today we are off on our holiday, the kids’ first time abroad and their first flight. To say that they are excited is an understatement! As such, unfortunately I won’t get round to reading WotW this week, I do hope you have all had good weeks.

What about you? What one word sums up your week best?

Please grab the badge, link up and share…

Linky opens at 6.30am Friday, to midnight on Sunday.

Sharing is caring!
