Word of the Week 14/4/17

Hello and welcome to Word of the Week!

If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. It’s a fun and friendly linky, so please do be lovely and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and share with them your thoughts on their words and weeks. I do comment on every entry to the linky, and if you add the Word of the Week badge to your post to help spread the ‘word’, I also tweet them out.

My word of the week this week is:

It’s been the Easter holidays here, so the kids have had an exciting week. We kicked off by visiting Warwick Castle at the weekend, where it was actually sunny! I was excited to be wearing my flip flops for the first time this year! We had a wonderful time there and we all loved the Horrible Histories show and maze. There’s lots to do there and as we’re blog ambassadors for them this year, we now have our annual passes all sorted. We have also confirmed that we’ll be staying there in their Knight’s Village over the summer – very exciting!

The kids went to the cinema with their grandparents to see Beauty and the Beast. They always get excited going out for trips with their Nanny and Grandad, and the bonus this time was that their cousin surprised them and went along, too – they absolutely adore their cousin and he’s so patient with them.

I know that we’ll be receiving a bundle of Pinypon toys any time now and that the kids will be thrilled! I am excited to see their little faces when they unpack them all and I know they’ll keep them happy for hours. Look out for the review on those coming soon.

I was excited to launch a fab competition this week to win a 6 months subscription to the newly launched in the UK BookBeat, something that I’ve been enjoying so it’s nice to be able to offer the service to one of my lucky readers free for a few months.

At the moment we’re away for a mini break in Hampshire. We have lots of fun activities and days out lined up and a couple of nights away, so do pop over to my Instastories to see what we’re up to, and of course, I’ll share more about it here soon.

Then there’s the build up to Easter, which involves chocolate and a few little treats for the kids. It’s fair to say that they are excited!

What about you? What one word sums up your week best?

Please grab the badge, link up and share.

  2. Ooh, sounds like you’ve been making the most of your holidays. How wonderful to be an ambassador for Warwick Castle, and what perfect weather to go and explore it! We haven’t been for a little while although pre-kids I did go to a wedding there – it was really amazing!
It is lovely when they get to spend time with their grandparents & family. I bet it was a nice surprise to be with older cousins, too.
    Enjoy your mini break!
    xx

  3. I can just imagine the excitement in your house at the moment. They are at the perfect age to really enjoy it. Warwick Castle sounds like a wonderful outing. Intrigued by your book competition. No idea what Pinypon toys are, but that could be down to the age of my children! Hope you are enjoying your break in Hampshire. #wotw
