Word of the Week 11/8/17

Hello and welcome to Word of the Week!

If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. It’s a fun and friendly linky, so please do be lovely and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and share with them your thoughts on their words and weeks. I do comment on every entry to the linky, and if you add the Word of the Week badge to your post to help spread the ‘word’, I also tweet them out.

My word of the week this week is:

This week has been necessarily slow.

I have been struck down by some sort of virus and it has wiped me out. As such, there’s been a day in bed and a day just lying on the sofa watching back to back movies. Now, as I type this, those days sound quite appealing, but I did feel so rough throughout them! I have then been taking things really slowly, making sure I’m not rushing about and taking time to rest up and recover so that I am fighting fit again.

Fortunately, everyone else has been fine, so the kids have been having a few more adventures than me as the Husband has looked after them and they had a day out at my mum’s, playing Pooh Sticks and going on a nature walk. We have then managed to catch up with friends as I have improved, which has been lovely and nice and relaxing.

Fingers crossed that’s the back of it as next week we’ve a few more adventures and I really need to start thinking about our holiday packing and prep then, hooray!

What about you? What one word sums up your week best?

Please grab the badge, link up and share (Please note it’s a new badge code, so do use this one, thanks!)

  1. Hope you are feeling much better now, we all spent the first week of the summer holidays like that it was horrible. I’m glad to hear the kids weren’t struck down too it sounds like they have had a fun week at least. Have a lovely weekend x

  2. Hope you are feeling better now and yes take care of you for a while 🙂 Glad the kids and Hubby escaped it and that the kids could have some adventures and you could have some peace 🙂

  3. There is something going round this holiday. I was hit last week and just wanted to sleep. I hope you are feeling better now. I’m sure the children loved having unexpected time with the rest of the family. Slow is good.

  4. I’m sorry to read that you have been under the weather. Hopefully things will brighten up and you’ll be enjoying lots of adventures this week. Thanks for hosting #WOTW
