Word of the Week 27/11/15

Hello and welcome to Word of the Week.

If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. It’s a fun and friendly linky, so please do be lovely and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and share with them your thoughts on their words and weeks. I do comment on every entry to the linky, and if you add the Word of the Week badge to your post to help spread the ‘word’, I also tweet them out.

My word of the week this week is:

parcels

I have had so many parcels this week! I think I’ve had one or more every single day, as I’ve a few reviews and posts coming up here which have involved deliveries and I’ve also got the bulk of my Christmas shopping done this week, so it’s all been arriving.

I have more cardboard and bubble wrap than even the kids can use and I’m spending too much time trying to squirrel various packages away as I am now running out of room to hide things – why are kids toys so big?!

I’ve also spent time chasing up parcels that I’ve been expecting, time that I really could have done with, but hey ho. I think pretty much everything that I was waiting on is here now. Oh, but today’s Black Friday so I’ve a few more things I’m hoping to get which will of course mean….more parcels!

What about you? What one word sums up your week best?

Please grab the badge, link up and share.

  1. Ah yes, the weeks before Christmas definitely see an increase in the number of parcels delivered. I think I have had nearly a parcel a day too, including ones for the neighbours! All exciting though 🙂

  3. Hi Jocelyn, I really wouldn’t want to be a postman this time of year, it must be a nightmare! On the up side, imagine how they can eat over Christmas and not worry have to worry too much about it. We used to hide any big stuff in the garage which is away from the house, these days the parcels are smaller, so we don’t have that problem anymore.

    Thank you for hosting.

    xx

  4. I love getting parcels through the post – it always feels so much more exciting than just getting letters. We’ve had a few arrive this week but still have yet to do the bulk of the Christmas shopping. It’s hard finding places to hide them all though – good luck with managing to hide yours! Thanks for hosting #WotW 🙂

  5. Oh I totally understand what it’s like to have so many parcels delivered. Most of my shopping is now purchased online, so a steady stream of parcels is flowing into our house on a regular basis, especially this week as it’s been Mademoiselle’s birthday!
Sounds like you have lots of lovely reviews planned for December – I look forward to reading about them!
Thanks for the linky, as always
    xx

  6. Ooh I love parcels arriving, is something I will never get tired of. And well done you being so organised, I still have hardly bought a thing for Christmas I think I will need a trip to the Trafford centre next week to get it all done x
