Word of the Week 14/8/15

Hello and welcome to Word of the Week.

If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. It’s a fun and friendly linky, so please do be lovely and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and share with them your thoughts on their words and weeks. I do comment on every entry to the linky, and if you add the Word of the Week badge to your post to help spread the ‘word’, I also tweet them out.

My word of the week this week is:

play

We’ve had play dates, free play, water play, play dough, small world play, playing with action figures, cars, farms, fancy dress and so much more besides. We’ve played with our new guinea pigs in their play pen most afternoons, and then the kids have come in, had their tea and gone to play with their dad on his new ‘play’station 4. Yep, I’m thinking ‘Play’ pretty much sums it up here this week. I think we’re in for more of the same next week 🙂

What about you? What one word sums up your week best? Please grab the badge, link up and share.

The Reading Residence

Linky opens at 6.30am Friday, to midnight on Sunday.

  3. I think play is an excellent word. I’m sure you’ve all had a fab week. I saw your guinea pigs on Instagram, they look like they’re settling in great

  4. Ah play is one of my favourite words of all time. I think there is nothing better than a child asking if they can play with something, or someone, or somewhere. It sounds like a great week and just what the summer holidays are all about. The Guinea pigs are also the cutest little things. Thank you for hosting this fab linky xx

  5. Sounds like a pretty awesome kinda week.. I love a good old play fest! How are those gorgeous guinea pigs of yours? Hope they have settled in well and you are all still enjoying the newest additions to your family!

  6. Isn’t that what summer holidays are for? Sounds like it’s been a lovely week and perfect for just hanging out with the family and enjoying time together. Hope the weather’s been good to you, too.
Thanks for the lovely linky, as always
    xx
