Word of the Week 13/4/18

Hello and welcome to Word of the Week!

If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. It’s a fun and friendly linky, so please do be lovely and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and share with them your thoughts on their words and weeks. I do comment on every entry to the linky, and if you add the Word of the Week badge to your post to help spread the ‘word’, I also tweet them out.

My word of the week this week is:

We have had a lovely relaxing week at home. The whole Easter break fits with this, really, as we have taken things slowly and enjoyed lots of downtime.

We have seen family and friends, interspersed our days with trips to soft play, the Sea Life Centre, shopping trips and the kids went to the cinema with their grandparents. The rest of the time has been spent watching movies, playing board games, reading and colouring, building Lego, gardening when the weather allowed and eating Easter eggs! It’s been nice, a slow, chilled out week. It’s been great to not have to rush around in the mornings and as the kids do get on very well, they’ve enjoyed spending time with one another, leaving me to get bits of housework and blog work done, or simply having a sit down with my book. Delightful!

I am very aware that after this school break, they won’t have loads of time to relax until late July as we’re off to Disney World over their next half term and I suspect that that holiday will be the very antithesis of relaxing!

What about you? What one word sums up your week best?

Please grab the badge, link up and share…
