‘Welcome to the Furchester Hotel’ DVD Give-Away

If you’ve got little ones, then you are probably now singing the theme tune to this, aren’t you? Sorry! It’s a catchy one, if you’ve missed it, here you go….

You’re welcome!

Welcome to the Furchester Hotel is the series’ first DVD, featuring six episodes from the hit CBeebies show, and will be released by Abbey Home Media on Monday 28th September.

Welcome to the Furchester Hotel

The show is fun, and takes me back to my childhood, with Sesame Street favourites Elmo and the Cookie Monster featuring in these episodes. The shows capture the attention of both of my children, at 3 and 5, and has them giggling along with the happenings at the hotel. The DVD, with six episodes is perfect for little bite size chunks of after school entertainment. Along with the DVD, there are also 3 collectable postcards in each case, which my daughter has already snaffled away somewhere!

I have one copy of the DVD available to give away now, so to be in with a chance of winning it, enter using the rafflecopter below.  The competition closes at 12am 22nd October 2015. Good luck!

  1. Thats a tough one, from sesame street, it has to be Abby Cadabby, and the Furchester has to be Elmo (sorry to be awkward) x

  2. It has to be Big Bird. There’s a wonderful documentary called I Am Big Bird which is all about the wonderful fellow who plays Big Bird.

In 1985 NASA wanted to send Big Bird into space. So, Caroll Spinney, the actor in the costume trained to go into space. However, it was deemed that the Big Bird costume was just too big to go on the shuttle so instead of sending Big Bird into space…they recruited a teacher instead. The shuttle was Challenger. The world was horrified at what happened afterwards but imagine how worse it would have been if Big Bird had been on that shuttle. It sent a chill down my spine.

This near death event would have stopped most people in their tracks, but Spinney carried on amusing and educating children all over the world.
