Siblings November 2017

Another month has rolled around! So what’s this last month brought to my pair of siblings?

We’ve had half term, a welcome break and it was great to see the two of them enjoying each other’s company all week. It’s funny how quickly I’ve adjusted to not having my Little Man at home with me during the week, but that being said, I do love school holidays and having them both with me. The week went by way too quickly, where they crammed in an overnight trip to Legoland and the Roald Dahl museum, catching up with friends, colouring, crafts and watching Descendants and Descendants 2 so many times – then re-enacting it all, of course!

Boo continues to be a great big sister, celebrating with Little Man as he learns to read his first words, wanting to help him with his homework, cheering him on as he swam his first 10 metres unaided front crawl. It’s meant that he has moved into the same swim class as Boo now and all too often I catch her watching how her brother’s doing, checking he’s OK, rather than concentrating on her own swimming! For his part, it’s his sister that he calls out for first thing in the morning when he wakes up, and he gets excited at the weekends to play wither her all day long. They are the very best of friends, these little siblings.

We took these photos on our trip away…

Boo aged 8 years and 1 month, Little Man aged 5 years and 2 months. Love them.

  1. Oh their relationship is so lovely. I love the bond and friendship. The caring bit makes up for the squabbles here. I can’t believe they are both at school. All of mine in school seems a long way off but I’m not wishing it away. Time goes quicker when they start school.

  2. Wow, I am so happy to see how perfect they get along. This is how siblings should love each other. I guess this makes your parenting roll so easy, right? I love the second picture, the little man feels so protected and safe in his sister’s arm!
