Pocket Notebooks Subscription Review

I have received a parcel of papery gorgeousness that I want to share with you today. It’s from Pocket Notebooks, and this is The Curated Subscription.

Pocket Notebooks Subscription

Personally curated by Stuart, this is a blend of category leading brands and outliers. Each edition will be different and designed to delight. All packed into a letterbox-friendly box and sent through the post.

A box might contain two three-packs of pocket notebooks. It might contain a three pack and larger format book. It might contain all sort of stationery related ‘extras’.

Limited Editions will be included in some of the subscription boxes.

My first impressions were good. This comes in a small box that fits through your post box and I really like the deep purple tissue paper that it’s wrapped in, as it adds a touch of luxury and decadence. On opening it up, there is a letter giving full details of the contents of the box and the inspiration behind it. This month there are 6 notebooks, a post card and a beautiful bookmark. Plenty to keep me busy.

The subscription costs £21 and you can opt for monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly boxes. Alternatively, you can order a one-off box for £22.50, which I think would make a lovely gift for a stationery fan. I think the versatility with different subscriptions timings is a good idea, and I also like that for every curated subscription box shipped, £1 will be donated to The National Literacy Trust.

Taking a closer look at the contents then…

#DigitalDetox Notebooks

This month, there’s a set of three #digitaldetox notebooks from Personalised Stationery in Rutland. These are dot grid notebooks, a personal favourite of mine, and the pages feel nice and thick.

Then there’s the set of 2 staple bound notebooks from Papio Press, one lined, one plain, with one of the best designs I have seen, as I adore sloths and you’d be surprised how limited the range of sloth stationery is.

The sixth and final notebook is a thing of true beauty. It is a hand-bound single section notebook from ESMIE (Elegant Stationery Made in England), stitched with coloured thread and covered with hand silk-screen printed papers and a gold screen. Just owning this makes me instantly feel more elegant, so now I need to find a really classy reason for writing in it! I’ve tried to get close up on the photo for you so that you can pick out that beautiful gold screen shimmering across it.

And a couple of extra treats this month, a BomoArt bookmark and a Papio Press postcard. Both designs appeal to me and both feel sturdy and good quality. I will take care choosing which book they may grace!

This is a beautiful subscription for notebook fans, for scribblers, for those of us who like to carry notebooks in our bags, have one by our bedside for middle of the night thoughts and have one at our desk. The notebooks are all of an excellent quality and from the preciously wrapped bundle to the thoughtfully chosen contents, the package is one to be cherished.

If notebooks are your thing, this will not disappoint.

Competition!

Are you drooling over this now? Well, I do have next month’s box available to offer to one of you lucky people. Just pop over to my Instagram feed now to enter. Be quick, it closes at midnight on 31st May 2017. Good luck!

What do you think? Could this be for you?

Disclosure: This was a commissioned review and I received the box FOC, though all opinions are my own

Sharing is caring!
