Papery Peep Linky and Got 2 Jot Give-Away

Thank you so much for continuing to support my #BringBackPaper campaign. It is for anyone and everyone who loves paper, and you can read more here. You absolutely don’t have to be a blogger to join in, though if you are, you’re more than welcome to blog about any involvement in it! Any and all paper fans welcome!

So, it’s been a month now, and I’ve seen some lovely papery things being shared. Books being swapped, of course, and more handwritten letters and notes being sent out into the world, too, which is a lovely thought. It’s been a fun first month, and I’ve plenty more posts and features on the way, too.

Now, today, being the last Wednesday on the month, is the Papery Peep linky, and I thought we’d really kick it off in style, by sharing a fabulous stationery shop, and the lady behind it, along with a giveaway, to get us all in a papery mood. So have a read, give the competition a go, and then link on up! Let’s hear from Sarah, from Got 2 Jot…

Got 2 Jot – For the love of Stationery

Sarah & Beth SibleyI’ve always loved stationery whether it be a beautiful notebook or a funky to do list. Stationery has come to the rescue many times to help me organise my home and work.

Balancing a busy home life with kids activities, birthday presents to buy (which according to my daughter always had to be stationery) to the weekly shop, there is always a notepad around at home for jotting down lists, ideas and inspirations.

Got 2 Jot was inspired after a trip to Australia where there were a couple of great stationery brands which were a heaven to shop in. So combining my retail marketing experience and my passion for stationery Got 2 Jot was formed.

I wanted to offer a range of colourful, funky stationery for kids where they could express their style and be creative whilst checking out for birthday present ideas for themselves and their friends. Combined with this I wanted to develop a range of stylish stationery for work and home – whether it be a lovely notepad to a colourful to do list to brighten up the desk and keep you organised.

Starting the business has been exciting especially finding new products that fit the brand. Going to trade shows and searching the internet to source new ideas and suppliers has been great fun. I am always looking for new small suppliers that can provide unique stationery ideas and designs so please get in touch if you have designs/products that would suit the Got 2 Jot theme of fun, fashion stationery.

If anyone is thinking of taking the plunge and starting their own business then I’d highly recommend that you develop it around something you love. There are late nights, frustrations with technology and sometimes you feel you can’t turn off from the business but it’s worth it as you see your business taking shape and getting support and following.

Our favourite products since the start have been an Italian brand – Legami who have some funky, colourful stationery for young and old.

As a giveaway, we are offering a free weekly planner from Legami which brightens up any desk and keeps you organised. It also works as a mousemat and has one sheet for every week of the year.

  1. Well I thought I’d share some of my recent purchases.
I bought 4 little notebooks in Waterstones & I love them. They are slim & just the right size for my handbag. I’m using one to keep track of my knitting, counting rows & stitches; another is my handbag notebook for shopping lists & sudden story ideas; the other 2 are still ‘virgin’.
The large notebook is from Paperchase & there’s no secret why I bought it (I didn’t need a notebook of course!) – it’s glittery & has cats! I’m yet to decide what it’s for but at the moment it may be for me to sketch out a story that’s bubbling around my brain. Although there’s something wonderful about a ‘virgin’ notebook! http://i.imgur.com/Y3dhgHQ.jpg

    1. Love, love them! I do like to have notebooks with different purposes. And yes, I’d agree, there is something lovely about a ‘virgin’ notebook πŸ™‚ Thanks so much for sharing with #PaperyPeep

  2. I love the daily desk planners, I’m forever writing (and rewriting!) lists so these could work for me!

I’ve a bit of a notebook fetish going on but have decided to link up an archive post of when I was loading up our new bookcases.
