Mr Men Birthday Party

We love the Mr Men here. I have very fond memories myself of reading the books when I was little, and before the kids were even born I had the complete Mr Men library. Since then, we’ve added to it when new releases have come along, so today I’m happy to be sharing with you the details on the latest Mr Men books…

Mr Men Birthday Party

Mr Men Birthday Party
It’s Mr Silly’s birthday and Little Miss Helpful is organising his birthday party, but unfortunately Little Miss Helpful isn’t as helpful as she sounds. Somehow or other things never quite turn out as they are meant to. Will Mr Silly’s birthday party be a success?

As with all Mr Men book, it’s fun to read and Boo tells me that she loves it, so that’s a great endorsement!

We also have a personalised book You and the Silly Birthday Party, a page is pictured above there for you.

This one’s really easy to set up , and you can enter in your child’s name, the name of one friend, and then select options to make the illustration look similar to your child, such as hair style, colour and clothing. My Little Man loves his and finds it fascinating that he is named throughout! The book also comes with a beautiful certificate wishing your little one a happy birthday. A lovely gift.

I do have a 20% off discount code for a Mr Men the Very Silly Birthday personalised book, just quote “pblogger20”

Now, there’s only really one way to celebrate the launch of new Mr Men birthday books, isn’t there? Yes, you throw a Mr Men birthday party!

The Party!

To make this a real surprise for the kids, I wrote them a little invitation to a party, and then instructed them to go upstairs with Daddy to get ready for it.

Waiting for them upstairs were their new Mr Men books and costumes. They loved reading the books whilst I got things ready for them downstairs…

Their costumes? Mr Wrong!

Mr Men Birthday Party fun

The kids wore mismatched gloves and socks and I made them little flower pots hats, using felt and pipe cleaners for the flowers. Really easy to do, as I am not the craftiest and these only took me a few minutes. I think they look good! So here’s Boo happily and proudly modelling hers…

I love that Little Man’s poking the cake in the background! You know, the one we told him not to touch? Here it is for a closer look…

It’s available from Tesco and I can confirm that it was delicious.

Whilst eating we chatted about the new books, and discussed our favourite Mr Men characters and stories. It seems the Husband likes Mr Skinny, Little Man likes Mr Greedy, Boo likes Mr Happy and I like Mr Bounce. Everyone has their favourite!

To celebrate the new book, the team at Egmont currently have a Pin to Win competition running, so if you’d like to get involved with that, just click on the picture below.

  1. Hi Jocelyn, I’ve kept all the Mr.Men books my two had when they were small. I remember enjoying them as a child too, and the cartoon too. That photo with Little Man poking the cake is a classic, he obviously thought you were distracted and would never know! The party looks like fun too, perfect for getting them int them book.

I’m not sure which Mr.Man would be my favourite, but I think I’ll go with Mr.Bump as he’s just so ridiculas.
    xx

  2. Mr Strong is my favourite as it was one of my favourite stories when i had the books as a youngster x

  3. Mr Bump. It reminds me of when my daughter was little. We bought her the book because she was always falling

  4. Mr Bump, as my boys are both very active, and with constant running comes a few bumps and bruises, so he is very fitting to our little family.
