My children get on very well together, which is lovely to see, and a relief for me! They’ll happily play together, or alongside each other, comfortable in each other’s company. It means that I can let the pair of them get on with it, and create their own mayhem and chaos, accompanied by the sounds of delighted giggles.
But, sometimes, it’s nice for them to have a bit of time without the other. To have the run of the playroom and all of the wonders that it encases..
Boo goes to pre-school for a couple of days a week. It gives Little Man and I a little bit of time together, and I like to let him choose the activities. I find it fascinating to see what he opts for, and to watch his delight in exploring. It amazes me how quickly he is developing. I feel like he was a tiny baby a month or two ago, and yet here he is running from one toy to the next and bringing it over to me to open up and play with him. He likes to get himself seated properly at his table to enjoy the fun, and just so you know, the four pictures taken above were taken within 5 minutes, no exaggeration, and there was also some climbing thrown into that 5 minutes, not photographed as I was busy supervising it! He rushes around, like any toddler would, I think, when given the run of a playroom without a big sister getting in his way…!
It’s a total joy to see, moments that I treasure, and that I suspect Little Man does, too.
So lovely when you get some quality time together, and when its not as frequent as you’d like then its even more special. Lovely photos.
Absolutely. Thank you 🙂
Beautiful boy!
Thank you x
So wonderful getting quality time together like this – love the photos, just fabulous. I can imagine him climbing everything too, POD used to be on the table within seconds! We only have Mondays together during the week so we’re checking out a farm today. Lovely post Jocelyn, thanks for sharing #whatsthestory
Thank you. It is lovely to have this time, however climby he may get! Hope you had fun at the farm 🙂 Thanks for hosting x
Lovely play time captured here. these times pass so fast, great to stop and reflect on the progress they are making.
Thanks. Yes, exactly, I want to try to grab hold of these moments, as I know they fly by x
Gorgeous photos of a lovely playtime. #whatsthestory
Thanks very much, Kate x
I love his enthusiasm! It looks like he’s having a great time, and nice for the two of you to have these special one-on-one #magicmoments!
He was definitely having a great time! He’s a little whirlwind. Thanks x
Lovely to see siblings playing nicely together as well as watch a toddler play flitting from one thing to another x
Yes, I treasure both moments x
I love his little face-he looks so happy. Oh yo have a playroom where I could shut the door on all the toys. No matter how hard I try, they always creep into every room here!!
He was very happy! I love the play-room – there is not a single toy or book of theirs in our living room – success!
Gorgeous photos, I also definitely think it is good for them to have one on one time without each other, although my girls get on so well. At the moment Mads goes to nursery twice a week and LL is settling in, but different days, meaning that I get one on one time with each of them. I treasure it and it also makes me wonder why i found just one child hard. 😉 x
Thank you. Yes, it’s nice to just concentrate on each of them alone sometimes, as they deserve that attention and it lets me really enjoy them, and I’m sure they like it, too. That said, I don’t think anything makes me happier than the sounds of fits of giggles coming from them both when they’re playing together 🙂 Thanks for hosting x
Oh that’s so lovely – I love getting a little one on one time with my girls, it just seems to happen so rarely at the moment that it’s all the more treasured!
Thank you. I’m thinking it’ll get a lot harder for me to have one-on-one time with my daughter when she starts school in September, though Little Man will get loads then! I’ll need to make a real effort to do this with her, too x
ah what lovely shots, i know my kids love to be on their own with either me or the OH, they crave it actually a lot. i think when they are used to being in such a large number they love those times when they are one to one!
Ah, yes I can imagine they’d love it, being part of a lovely, big family. It’s nice for us parents, too, I think, though it can be challenging to fit in, I’d guess?! Thank you x
What a cutie! It’s so lovely for you to have one on one time x
Thank you 🙂
It’s so lovely to get a bit of one on one time with each of them, I find mine are so different when they’re on their own. Gorgeous photos of your Little Man xx
It was lovely, and thank you x
The look of concentration for each task is fab #magicmoments
Thank you 🙂
Gorgeous pictures – love those little cheeks and the look of concentration. It is so nice to get a bit of one on one time sometimes. xx
Thank you, and yes, I love our time together 🙂
Great that they get on so well & can enjoy playing together, but also that your Little Man can have time alone with you as well 🙂
Yes, best of both worlds, thanks 🙂

It is lovely, on both counts 🙂 Thanks for hosting x
