I Am A Golden Eggsplorer!

Today I’m delighted to be sharing the news that I am now a Golden Eggsplorer! Well, the children are, to be more precise, which means we’re now proud ambassadors for Reading Eggs.

I’m really pleased to be working with them and over the year I’ll bring you the latest news from them and tell you how we’re getting on with the programmes. This one’s special to me as Reading Eggs was actually one of the earliest blog posts that I wrote about, as Boo gave their free trial a whirl back when she was 3, and we liked it so much we signed up for it. You can read that initial review post here, and I then reviewed the Mathseeds package, and Boo loved that, too.

So it’d be safe to say that my daughter is a fan, and I’ve no doubt that these stood her in good stead for when she started school, and she’s doing so well there now in both reading and maths. Reading’s always been important to me as a parent, and both children have had stories read to them since their baby days, enjoying many, many books every week. I think that combined with Reading Eggs has given her a great start at school, and she now devours every single bit of reading matter that she spots – road signs, van graphics, washing labels, and of course, actual books!

We’ll be spending more time on this this year, and I’ll let you know how we’re getting on with it from time to time, and I’m really looking forward to introducing Little Man to it, too. I’ll be interested to see how he gets on with it, as he’s a very different little soul to his sister, and I will of course report back.

Reading Eggs are kicking off their school readiness campaign today, and I would definitely recommend using this with young children in the run up to starting school. Reading Eggs is for ages 3-7, along with Reading Express for 7-13 year olds, and Mathseeds is aimed at 3-6 year olds. They will also be offering a free 4 week trial over there now, so why not give it a go and see what I’m going on about?

In the meantime, it only seems right that we celebrate in style and I offer one of my lucky readers a chance to win a Reading Eggs and Mathseeds subscription. To be in with a chance of winning the subscription, worth £47.95, enter using the rafflecopter below. The give-away is open to UK entrants only, and closes at 12 am 16th June 2015. Good luck!

  1. This giveaway sounds fantastic for us! I have two boys one is 4 the other will be 3 in August and they both adore reading and learning numbers. I am an avid reader myself so am thrilled that they have shown an interest but it would be nice to have some new books and material to keep their interest alive as they get ready to go to school. 🙂

    1. Thanks! Yes, do, it’s so good. Boo loves it, and I’ve just introduced it to Little Man – he is enthralled!

Allowing my daughter to interact on a computer in a way that teaches her to read and learn maths.

  4. I think that computers and apps are so much a part of life that it is important that they used in learning as well as books.

  5. It’s a fun way to learn, whilst at the same time conveying process and rules in a way which is engaged with

  6. I’d like to use it with my son in the near future I work in a school so know little ones love any apps like this

  7. This looks like a great way to engage my son with his reading and My daughters favourite subject is maths so she would enjoy using the maths programme

  8. My daughter is just starting to take an interest in numbers and letters so combining that with her love of technology makes it seem even more fun!

  9. I love that you can help your little ones with their maths and literacy at home. My daughter used reading eggs and came on leaps and bounds. x

I like that I can teach my daughter to read and give her that helping hand to progress through education & life.

  11. My little man loves watching me work at my laptop so Reading Eggs & Mathseed would be a great introduction to the laptop for him so that he can also do “work” like mummy!

  12. It is a fun way to lean and to keep children interactive wish this was around when I was younger 🙂
