Disney On Ice: Passport to Adventure

There was much excitement here yesterday as last night we went to see Disney On Ice: Passport to Adventure at the Arena, Birmingham.

As regular readers will know, we are all about Disney here at the moment as we are off to Disney World next summer, so this show was brilliant timing to get us all in the Disney mood. And even better, we surprised the kids by taking them along to the Meet and Greet before the show, which delighted them!

A little about the show…

“Celebrate the most memorable Disney tales with all your favourite characters in Disney On Ice presents Passport to Adventure. Join Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald, Goofy and Daisy on a journey to the timeless worlds of Disney’s The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, and Disney’s Frozen. You and your family will explore the African Pride Lands with Simba and friends, voyage to Ariel’s underwater kingdom and fly from London to Neverland with Peter Pan and Wendy to meet up with Tinker Bell. You’ll also travel to Arendelle for an extraordinary adventure with sisters Anna and Elsa, mountain man Kristoff and the huggable snowman Olaf. What’s more, don’t miss the pre-show party! Enjoy every second of this sensational show – starting with the chance to warm up at the fabulously fun Fit to Dance pre-show featuring Zootropolis! Upbeat music, lovable characters and unforgettable moments make Disney On Ice presents Passport to Adventure an experience your family will cherish forever!”

We were excited, and couldn’t wait for it to start!

We got to see Zootroplis stars at the start, and then Disney favourites anchored the whole performance, introducing each act as we travelled around the world with them.

The show was in two acts of fifty minutes each with an intermission in between, and my two were entranced from start to finish. Little Man loves Peter Pan so was delighted when he made an appearance, especially when chased by the villainous Captain Hook! Boo adores Frozen, don’t we all?!

We were singing, swaying, cheering and completely absorbed by it from start to finish. It was very similar to their Silver Anniversary show that we saw last year, and it was skated so well. So many familiar songs were packed into it, from Hakuna Matata through to Let It Go and favourite characters were cheered as they each made an appearance.

It was spectacular and it was magical. A night to remember and one that has us even more keen to get to Disney World now!

Last night was the first night in Birmingham, so if you’re looking to catch the show it’s on at:
