Bobux Shoes Review

When New Zealand founded Bobux shoes got in touch with me, I have to confess I hadn’t heard of them before. More fool me really, as when I went over to their Bobux UK website, there were so many styles that appealed to me for my 2 year old son, so today I am sharing our Bobux shoes review.

In addition to looking good, Bobux shoes are made to look after the health of your little ones’ feet, with shoes made with flexible soles as it ‘encourages correct anatomical foot development and allows natural balance, coordination & posture.’

They currently have over a dozen sandal designs, a similar amount of boots, and then shoes and trainers, too. It was the latter that appealed to me most, though I took me a little while to select the ones to go for as there’s plenty of choice.

I chose a brown, soft trainer, the Fast Forward Trainer, from the i-walk range for Little Man…

I like them as they can be both casual and smart, and are a little dressier than his trainers.

I was also advised that these do come up quite big for each size, which is the case, so bear that in mind if you’re ordering, too.

Now my son loves, loves, loves new shoes!

My daughter has a lot of footwear, but my poor son has considerably less, yet he is more interested than she ever is, so I do feel guilty!

When these arrived he was so keen to open them and was actually removing his trainers ready to get into them! And they have not disappointed him…

Bobux Shoes Review

The shoes are very flexible and feel nice and light. Little Man tends to wear trainers, so he’s used to a soft and very comfortable shoe, and he was happy in these straight away, no breaking them in needed at all.

I opted for this particular design because he has wide feet and a high instep, and these have easy openers and are wide enough for him, too.

They have multiple flex points, so when you hold the shoe, you can really bend it back, giving you a feel for how well they mould to your little one’s feet and move with them.

The shoes range from newborn, to developing feet, to first walkers, through to confident walkers.

My only gripe is that they currently only go up to the equivalent of a UK 11, and my girl is in bigger shoes than that. Annoying for us!

Little Man’s been wearing these over the past month, so it is still a little soon for a full verdict and review, so I will pop back and update this again when the wear and tear has truly taken hold to let you know how that goes, but at this stage, I am very pleased with them.

Update: These Bobux shoes withstood the wear and tear test well. Little Man wore them until he outgrew them and we had no problems at all with them. Thumbs up!

Disclosure: We received these shoes for the purposes of this review, though all words and opinions remain my own

  1. Bobux Shoes are fab shoes all the way; so trendy and chic yet (foot) health conscious. I look forward to my little man wearing more Bobux in the future. The fact that it ‘encourages correct anatomical foot development and allows natural balance, coordination & posture.’ does it for me. #TriedTested

  2. I love Bobux shoes, and you picked some fab ones here Jocelyn. Our whole family wear barefoot and thin soled shoes, they are so much better for the body (especially while the kids are growing as fast as they are). Great review hon x

    1. Thank you, I do really like them. Can’t believe I’d not heard of them before, but pleased we’ve found them now x

    1. Yes, it’s a tricky balance, but my son really likes these, and as he’s used to soft trainers, it gives you a feel for how comfortable these must be x
