Back to School with Letts

Are you ready for the new school year to start? With school uniforms and shoes to fit and new routines to think about, finding the time to choose the best books to buy may not always be a priority. There are lots of great books to choose from and Letts has some engaging and motivating learning books to help your child get back into a learning frame of mind. All of their books support the national curriculum so that you know they are reinforcing what your child is being taught at school.

Now I have two very different kids here, with my Boo and Little Man taking opposite approaches to learning. Boo, at nearly 7, has always been keen to ‘learn’ and loves these books, often asking for them, and will complete pages and pages in one sitting. My Little Man, about to turn 4, is not as keen! But, when I manage to catch him in the right mood, he really concentrates on these for short bursts of time and takes great pride in completing the various sections. They are useful for supporting learning at home and giving me some direction in what I should be working on with him.

The 3-5 phonics appeal to me. I’m not too familiar with phonics and I’d like to be able to help my little boy for when he starts school.

  2. I would love the aged 3-5 books please. My son starts school next week and will be learning to read and write soon

  3. My daughter loves doing these books, she loves to learn. The ks2 books would be fab as she starts year 4 next week.

  4. I love all the books for 5-7 years old. If I was a little girl I would love to spend time learning from them.

  5. The GCSE range as my daughter will be studying towards hers very soon. Love the Letts range, very informative and well structured.

  6. Any of the books to support my also reluctant little man. He is Year 1 and it’s a big change from year R. His twin sister learns very differently to him and I have to use different methods and pace with them both.

  7. The Wild About English and Maths age 3-5 really appeal for my granddaughter to whom all learning is fun at the moment, her school desk at home being her pride and joy.

  8. I’ve browsed through these books and they are excellent. I particularly like the way they structure learning for 3-5 year olds.

  9. the Key Stage 3 books-my daughter has just started High School and i would love to be able to support the work she is doing at school at home with her.

  10. The GCSE books appeal to me because my son is currently studying for his GCSEs and I’d love to buy him these revision guides to work on at home and hopefully improve his grades.
